Neural Healthcare is seeking a Director of Product Engineering - Healthcare with strong technical and leadership skills who can drive innovation with limited oversight. We need your expertise in building and maintaining scalable technical processes that support our current and future healthcare business objectives. You will have the opportunity to use your knowledge in new and challenging ways, working with architecture, application development, and operations to help achieve a state-of-the-art healthcare environment.

You will be responsible for providing technical expertise for our healthcare platform, overseeing the development and deployment of production backend, frontend, databases, assessing and implementing new technologies, and providing leadership with a long-term perspective on the relationship of cloud-native technology to healthcare business opportunities.

This is a contract to full-time, remote position.

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of our healthcare SaaS platforms to production.

• Design backup processes for servers and associated healthcare data, and schedule/perform regular server maintenance.

• Develop and manage logging and reporting requirements specific to healthcare, such as patient eligibility, insurance premiums, sales, and provider files.

• Monitor data quality and integrity, taking corrective action as necessary.

• Determine database structural requirements by analyzing healthcare operations, applications, and programming needs.

• Create database management procedures and develop/document standards and best practices.

• Develop required technical documentation.

• Design and develop database solutions, including functional capabilities, security, backup, and recovery specifications, in collaboration with the development and operations teams.

• Proactively maintain performance by resolving production and application development problems.

• Identify, evaluate, and recommend technologies to achieve desired performance.

• Work proactively with the DevOps team to administer the cloud infrastructure and resolve challenging performance issues.

• Provide end-to-end technical leadership, support and problem resolution.

• Research and analyze systems and performance issues, new technology, and technical, tactical, and strategic solutions.

• Design, develop, document, and implement complex automated development infrastructures for our healthcare customers (build automation, deployment automation, test environments, development environments).

• Perform incident response analysis and root cause analysis through research and peer/vendor support.

• Build and maintain system and application snapshots for use with continuous delivery.

• Develop software in appropriate scripting languages using agile design-build-test methodologies.

• Develop unit tests alongside production code in a continuously integrated environment.

• Actively participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including research, ideation, prototyping, detailed design, development, technical documentation, defect fixing, and customer support.

• Collaborate with the wider team on product design, code reviews, and CI/CD.

• Monitor and analyze budget performance metrics related to the Healthcare Engineering department.
