Mr. Menon is one of the Chief Legal Consultant and Partner for Bala & Sethu Legal Consultants in United Arab Emirates. Prior to joining Bala & Sethu, Mr. Menon was a Consultant for a US based law firm on Satellite Tele-Communication and related Government regulations and actively utilizing his research and drafting skills for preparing the Amicus Brief for an US based International NGO to be submitted before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of Pakistan; as well as in the research and co-ordination of International Recovery of Debt for UK bank and financial institution, working along with Recovery companies and agencies. He began his legal career as an Associate Lawyer with Consulta Juris (a leading law firm in India), primarily practicing in the High Court of Kerala and trial Courts of Kerala, India. A Law graduate from University of Kerala, India, Mr. Menon completed his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Economic Law from University of Warwick, UK. There after conducted PhD research for three years on ‘Study on Legal Issues relating to Financing of Space Sector Projects’ at the Institute of Space and Telecommunication Law (IDEST), University of Paris XI, France. During this time, he was also a Visiting Fellow at the Space Policy Institute, Elliott School of International Studies, George Washington University, Washington D.C., USA, 2009. Mr. Menon has been actively involved in space sector related activities. He has acted as Chairman of the session on GNSS Services and reference Frames, a workshop organized by United Nations/United Arab Emirates/United States of America on the Applications of Global Navigation Satellite Systems.
